I don't know if its an unwritten law working here, one that states "When posting a profile online, always state anything you want and like provided they are not true. This will inevitably boost your profile and you will be assured of more hits and ultimately garner more opportunities to meet new people looking for the same."
The problem is when you do meet, the shit will hit the fan. This cartoon sent in by Karen depicts what usually does happen.
The best way to avoid this scenario is to not put your expectations up too high because often enough, what you read about a person at such sites, is normally far from what you will get.
