AROMASEXUALITY DISCOVERY

I've read about it before and in fact have had many people tell me how some aromatherapy scents can actually enhance one's sexual appetite. Well, I've tried quite a few of them and sadly, I've hardly ever got horny with any of them. I must however add that it did relax me, which was actually what I was looking for then.

Many proponents of aromatherapy claim that it helps to increase sex drive but it seems too good to be true. I'll give them this much - it really helps to ease the nerves and sleep better. I suppose that was what they were thinking of when they say it will increase sex drive. Naturally, when you are more relaxed, you can focus on sex. Some truth in that.

So I've tried jasmine, rose, clove and cinnamon scents and even combinations of them but other than making me sleepy, sorry, no sudden urges to jump anyone. But then something happened.

I was clearing up my bedroom cupboard and stumbled upon a hamper I received sometime back which had some aromatherapy oils. I wanted to see what I could dispose of and make some space. I had a few incense sticks and decided to light them up instead of flipping them in the bin.

There was a pack of eight so I lit up the lot. So you can imagine my whole bedroom was smelling of a musk of some sort. Not as appealing as jasmine or sweet smelling as rose - well it was different. So anyway, an hour into cleaning the room, I was just feeling exceptionally frisky. Didn't know why at first.

Hubby came in a little later to have his nap and hell, he got all horny as he was falling asleep. The door was shut in minutes and I won't go into any further details but the door didn't open until three hours later - and neither of us slept!

It was one of the most intense and wildest sessions we have had in a long time and we both weren't sure what led to it. It wasn't that we hadn't had sex for a long time, unless two days ago is considered long. We were both just so supercharged sexually for some reason.

Then as I got back to my house-cleaning, it struck me. It was the incense sticks. Dug out the wrapper from the bin and found that they were a cinnamon-clove blend.

I did some reading up and discovered that both had supposedly elements associated with improved sexual desire. Interestingly, I've tried both cinnamon and cloves separately but they never did much for my desire.

So the bottom line is don't expect the aromatherapy oils or fragrances to do wonders because ultimately, different people react differently. But try combining them. Gosh, I can't explain it. It just hits you where you want it to. It's like having a shot of tequila after not having sex for a month. Another factor could be that I actually lit all eight sticks! So that was my discovery this weekend.

I'll be heading to the aromatherapy store sometime this week to check them out and will report on how it works the second time around. I know that sometimes these things may happen out of a fluke. But if I am right, hallelujah!
