WORLD CUP RUNNETH OVER

Today marks the beginning of the World Cup in South Africa. So for about a month, many women, unless they want to follow the competition, have to find ways to occupy their time while their men head to the pubs or get glued to the goggle-box.

I've actually fixed up several appointments and outings with friends and even have a reunion planned. There is also a hen-party to attend and a charity project I am involved in.

In between, let's not forget the shopping trips that I will have to include seeing that its also smack in the middle of the Great Singapore Sale.

I know a friend of mine was saying that she will be taking out and dusting her box of sex toys. But I don't really think that many men would give up the chance to have sex over watching the matches. I could be wrong though.

To solve the problem, you could install a flat-screen telly in the bedroom or take your bedroom activities into the living room. Either way, women have to be pro-active during this month, that's for sure. Go get what you want and need and the month will not be so bad.
One reader writes in to say that she always finds it a challenge during this period but one that she eagerly faces heads on.

She said, "Soccer or me? If you want to know if there is still a spark in your relationship, this is the ultimate test. If he doesn't so much as blink an eye at you - you've got problems. But nothing that cannot be solved by humping the gardener."

So have fun and pay ball (or balls) - depending on who you are.

Missus Singapore out!
