Ever been in this scenario? I have with my old boyfriend.

I used to stay in an apartment and my bedroom window was along the corridor. I was about 18 I think. (Don't ask how long ago that was!) So I had just met this guy and we hit it off. THE SWEET SPICE

I absolutely love strawberries. It's up there alongside mangoes as one of my favourite fruits.

I interviewed an Australian nutritionist for an online article last week and she was telling me how important it was for one's sex life. I knew that already but the fact that the body tends to assimilate its nutrients much faster got my attention.

The seeds of the strawberry contain high levels of zinc which have often been related to sex. It's not just an important component for men but for women as well. For the males, it helps upping testosterone levels and for us women, zinc helps our bodies prepare for sex more quickly if the levels are raised. Simply put, we get into the mood faster.  

She recommends that men and women consume a handful of strawberries or even raspberries to get ready for sex.

Besides the effects of zinc, these fruits are also high in anti-oxidants which help to optimise the blood flow to the sex organs. Just a few of them will do the trick due to its low glycaemic load as compared to any other fruit. This means that they provide a sustained energy level at only a few calories. But seriously, if you are going to have a good workout in bed, you won't worry too much since you would have burnt it all up after.

I like mine plain but occasionally bring in a can of whipped cream. I have a friend who swears by having hers with peanut butter. To each his own. Just sink your teeth in them, enjoy its glorious natural taste and garner its benefits in bed.

NOTE TO MS READERS

Only yesterday I placed a poll about outdoor sex and already I've received six emails asking me the same thing. So to address all your queries, I've decided to post a clarification note.

By outdoor sex, I don't mean doing it in the car outdoors. It has to be out in the open or at least in a place without any enclosing walls. In a sleeping bag outdoors counts though I suppose. If you have a convertible, well I guess if the top is open then it counts.

SPRAY ON CLOTHES

This week's video is really neat although I'm not quite the clothing industry will be thrilled by it. But who knows they may just come up with their own sprays. But you will still need to have a creative mind to design a decent outfit. I'd prefer if they came up with spray on lingerie or undergarments.

Dudes, here's a review about THE OMEGA PARTY from one of my readers. I did go to this party once -- and it wasn't really my thing: too many out-of-shape guys, and older guys grabbing at me (not my idea of a good time). MS BUCKET LIST

A few girlfriends came over last night and we were catching up after not having seen each other for a few months. One of them brought a DVD which we thoroughly enjoyed. I had watched The Bucket List before but it was definitely worth a second viewing.

A CLOSE SHAVE

I'm not sure if I'm blessed or cursed with it but the hair down there is really thick and curly if I leave it untouched. From a closely shaven crop to a bush in a matter of days sees me grooming myself at least twice a week.

Some men like it bare, as I do but others like a retro bush for some reason. The only thing I can be sure of is that I have become somewhat of an expert with pruning, I must say. I've tried all sorts of methods and tools but ultimately, for me at least, with thick hair, shaving with a man's shaver works best.

However, the blade has to be new or no more than a few days old to achieve optimum results. Forget the expensive creams. It's all a matter or warm water and baby lotion. Do however check before hand if you are sensitive to baby lotion because I've come across some women who develop a rash soon after using it.

Find a lotion that's best for you.

Take a warm shower before. Dip a face towel in a basin of hot water and let it set. Sometime after or during your warm shower, place the towel where you intend to shave. This I find will soften the hair and open up the pores. You can tell the difference by pulling out a single hair which you will find is not as painful as compared to doing it at other times.

With your skin held taut, shave along the grain to prevent a razor burn. Here is the challenge because the hair down there is not exactly as consistently placed as hair elsewhere on your body. So at times you might have to change direction of your shaving movement to accommodate the different directions of the grain. I've come to realise this the painful way over the years. Patience is key.

Soon after you are done, splash cold water (I mean really cold water like from the refrigerator) on the area. Dry it and rub a tiny dip of lotion over the area. This offers an excellent finish with no after-shave itch. It also has given me a better shave that lasts considerably longer (up to five days for me).

THE LIMITS OF MAKE-UP SEX

A friend was sharing with me how she enjoys make-up sex so much. Well, don't we all. It is just filled with so much built-up frustration that when an opportunity arises for you to release that penned-up energy, it's like a bursting dam.

I enjoy it too. However, whilst I think it is great, I also have to say that I'd rather have sex without thinking about using it as a means to clear my frustrations. Let me elaborate.

Personally, I get the same, if not more energy if I am extremely horny during the day. You will find that when your thoughts stray to sex and sexual adventure, you can elicit the similar energy and get the same intensity from non make-up sex as compared to make-up sex. So for all intents and purposes, I would rather not have the prior misunderstandings - just the raw call for instinctive sex for me, thank you.

But sometimes we just can't help it.

I read about one woman who has make up sex every other week! Imagine that. Although the focus of the article was on make-up sex, it totally ignored the implications that this couple was actually having deeper problems. Obviously, their relationship is in trouble.

Yes, I know every couple experiences occasional tiffs and disagreements - more so in the initial years as they get a feel of their partner's views and preferences - but if it is a continuous affair, it paints an ominous picture of their future together.

There was even this counsellor who proposed fighting to get a good make-up sex session! Trust me, even after make-up sex, there remains residual dissent but many choose to slip it under the carpet. It will and I repeat, it will crop up again unless you get to the root of the problem and sort things out at the source.

The worse thing one can do is see make-up sex as a way to end the conflict and expect it to be case close thereafter. It's not that simple. Humans being what we are empowered with memory and as such, the disagreements never quite go away unless there is some form of closure. Problems swept under the carpet will always return to haunt us if they aren't solved.

As a once in a while thing, make-up sex is indeed a powerful relationship tool that helps to put things and priorities into perspective but remember, it does not solve the reason why the conflict emerged in the first place. Sex won't do anything for that. Talking will.

Sex can do a lot of things but unfortunately, it can never replace the important connection that is achieved through direct verbal communication. So while you go ahead and enjoy that wild and sweaty make-up sex session, do follow up by finding middle ground towards solving the problem. What I think it does best, is to pave the way for a more open, honest and less-guarded approach towards talking with each other.

SUPER SQUIRTER

I'm honestly not too caught up with size after having been disappointed with so many big tools that under-performed. SCENT OF A MAN

Don't believe all the hype that some cologne makers love to proclaim. The fact is every woman has a preference and the trick is finding out what hers is.
