Stock photo by John Hoff A few weeks ago--as reported on this blog--businessman Larry Maxwell was convicted on 18 felonies in a mortgage fraud scheme.
Now word is Larry "Maximum" Maxwell's attorney, Larry Reed, will be going through the pointless effort of arguing a motion for a new trial. The highly-paid exercise in futility is scheduled to take place Tuesday, May 19, 8:30 AM in the court room of Judge Chu.
Chu usually holds court in 1059, but sometimes 1057.
