RONALD NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD

Pat Mak from Hong Kong sent this McDonald's ad which is apparently from Japan. Honestly, I thought it was some home-made video. But if Mac's are pushing boundaries with this ad my question is this - is there one to get us women to head there as well.

I'd like to see some hot guy with clown make-up on and showing some beef. If sex sells, using a woman only garners the interest of about 50% of adults and is not really that effective a strategy. We want our male meat too. Go check out the video.

LIGHT IT UP

I've always held the position that women need to accentuate their best physical attributes. I'm not suggesting they show pop out their boobs or have their butt show up.

I'm talking about choosing the right type of clothes for your body type. It doesn't matter if you are on the chubby side or thin side, there are always possibilities. Judging by how many Singaporean women choose their attire, I really think they should introduce dress-up instruction in school.

We have such glorious weather - hot and humid no doubt - and it opens up numerous opportunities to get creative with one's attire. I've come to realise that many boutiques' saleswomen don't seem to have enough dress sense themselves to be dispensing with such information to their customers.

My suggestion, and I've done this many times in the past, is to walk into a boutique run by the designers themselves. Chances are, they will be present and I find them most willing to share what colours and clothes would look good ona customer. You need not have to purchase anything (although I often do), but you walk away with some useful information.

I don't necessarily agree with what many designers seem to say - if you got boobs show them off - but they do offer good suggestions. For instance, ask them what kind of colours suit you, the shoes, belt or other accessories and chances are they will tell you.

If all else fails, there is always a fail-proof way, string some lights over the parts of your body you want people to be drawn to.

GO FOR THE RIDE

This week video of the week focused on men who like their cars more than their girls. I have to say that I know of some men who like their girls more than they care about their cars, which is refreshing. But I have to share this with you too. I brought this up to some men I know and the answers I got essentially centred over how much their cars cost.

Seems like a fair reason but if you look closer, you will find that women too can cost quite a bit.

Cost of a owning a hot rod fast car: $285,000!
Cost of up-keeping a woman: Spend most of your weekly pay at the burger joint when you want to woo her; bring her out on hot dates to get her into bed; buy her lots of things to keep her in your bed; spend on a lavish wedding to impress her; take on a second job when she gets knocked up - hospital bills etc.; borrow against better judgment for that new home; and thereafter empty your pockets for her weekly shopping needs.... total cost: Your manhood! (READ: BALLS AND DICK)

So I suppose now I understand why some men treat their cars better than their women - because they treat them better and don't go for the ride; cars are their rides.

WEAPON OF MASS DISTRACTION

Many women spend a lot of their lives doing things (READ: Spending money on beauty and fashion) trying to be or look like somebody they are not or who they can never be. When they are young, it's looking up to older 'role models' and when they get older, it becomes a perpetual battle trying to look like somebody younger.

I think that this quest to look like someone else is just robbing them of the best years of their lives. They could be doing a lot more to promote their own inner characteristics and outer charms. I have to admit that when I was younger, I did for a while try to emulate some women.

Don't laugh but I had to save my allowance for a whole school term just so that I could have a Farrah Fawcett hairstyle. Invariably, there was also the make-up that was a must wear during parties at the time - Mary Quant. We were awe struck by Jean Shrimpton, the world's first real supermodel from London who helped proliferate the Mod and Swinging London looks of the 60s and 70s.

I'm not proposing we stop this idol-worshiping (not that we can) because all women or girls go through this stage. The thing is, I'd figure that once they grow up and mature and become supposedly wiser, that they would grow out of this phase. Instead it gets worse for many of them.

I have some friends in their forties who are still going for hairstyles that stars have even though it does not necessarily suit them of bring out their best attributes.

As you get older, it's better paying attention to what works for you, what you feel comfortable with and not what magazine models or celebrities showcase. Unless you have personal trainers, fashion advisors (and designers), $1,000-an-hour hairdressers or touch-up artists shadowing you all the while, it ain't gonna work for you.

There are literally millions of looks and as many styles as there are people out there so find one that is you. Confidence will follow once you get the look that suits you.  If you watch a fashion show, you can tell. Just look at the models and you will have some idea who likes what they are wearing and who doesn't. It's not in their smile (because they hardly ever do) but in their body language.

One of the most powerful weapons of mass distraction (WMD) is a woman's confidence. She may not be the most attractive in the room but if she is confident, she will be noticed for sure. Now isn't that what we all spend indecent amounts of money to achieve?

PORN TURNS HER ON TOO!

The debate is over! A US study carried out last year found that women are aroused by pornography. Using eye-tracking technology and questionaires, US researchers found that women do get equally aroused by pornography.

There popular choice of porn include those with story-lines, man and woman (not so much close-ups though), woman and woman and to an equal extent, more men and one woman. But interestingly, it was also found that women on birth control pills did not pay as much attention to genitals as their counterparts who were not using them.

I suppose those on birth control are probably those who were on it because they either had accidents or have given birth - so there is a little resentment in a man's genitals after what they caused!

Also it was found that the least arousing porn scenes include oral sex - something that is significant because men love these scenes most.

For me, I admit that porn has somewhat lost its draw - no thanks to its proliferation on the Internet. There is no more mystery or excitement when you can easily get it unlike before. But one thing remains - I still like those with a storyline to it. Corny or not, like those 70s or 80s flicks, there still outclass what's currently available.

BACK TO THE OLD DAYS

While images of stone-age men pulling their women by the hair may have stuck on with many of us on, things have undoubtedly changed these days.

Now, many women are coming out of their timid shells to grab the bull by the horns or rather, grab the male by the balls. We are making inroads in the workplace, home and out in society.
Men have had it so good for so long so it's only timely that we take over the reins.

But seriously, if a woman wants to and makes an effort to, she can certainly run things in the bedroom. Many men like to be dominated and for those who don't like to, tough. For many, that's what gets them coming back for more.

Play your cards and moves right and you'll have any man eating from your hand in no time.
